I never really cared about Snickerdoodle anything until approximately last year, but when I created my Snickerdoodle Energy Balls for the blog, I tasted one and then I immediately understood the Snickerdoodle hype. I mean…butter, sugar, and cinnamon? Yeah, you can go ahead and sign me right the HECK up for all things Snickerdoodle. So that’s how the idea for this shake came to be. It’s delicious. You’ll just have to trust me on this. I think I actually might like it more than the energy balls, and, well, I just never thought I’d see the day that that would happen, but here we are.

Supposedly we’re getting our first big snow storm of the season tonight and tomorrow! We’ll see if we actually get as much as they’re predicting, which right now is 8-12″. This time around, I’m actually hoping we do because I’d love to dust off my XC skis and my snowshoes and show them some action this season! They saw exactly no action last winter because oddly we had NO SNOW. I swear it was the weirdest winter ever. We had some small storms in December, no white Christmas, and then no snow at all for the rest of the winter. I hate to say it, but it was actually kind of nice once March rolled around and we didn’t have a straight month of brown snow and mud. By the time March 1st rolls around, if there’s no snow on the ground I’m over it and I’m ready to transition from ski season to run season. Will 2021 be the year I finally run a marathon? Gasp.

Tomorrow is my last day of work until 2021. It’s so weird to think about. If we do get buried in snow I’m going to spend the first day of my Christmas vacation cross country skiing. I found a new place to go that’s pretty close by and I can’t wait to check it out on skis! Once I’m done with that, I’ll probably head home and make these shakes and force Mike to watch Christmas movies with me all night. It’s a good time, even if he doesn’t like to admit it. Whatever we end up doing, I cannot wait to have two and a half weeks off from work. Not like we can see anyone or go anywhere fun, because 2020 and all that, but still. I’m sure we’ll still find some sort of trouble to get ourselves into. Got any ideas?!?! Help a sister out with some ideas here!

If you want a slightly thicker shake, reduce the amount of nut milk to 1 + 1/2 cups. You can always add more if you want to thin it out.
