- Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper to a large bowl and whisk with a fork to combine. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and stir to coat the wings completely. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours or longer.
- After the wings have marinated for a while, remove the wings from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels. Place the wings on the air fryer tray in a single layer, leaving space in between each wing. Sprinkle each chicken wing very lightly (a little bit goes a long way!) with a little bit of sea salt. Air fry at 400° F for 12 minutes, until starting to crisp and brown and cooked through. Serve hot and enjoy!
