With fall fast approaching, we have found ourselves at the tail end of stone fruit season. It’s bittersweet, at least for me, because while I absolutely LOVE fall (eternally basic) I really enjoy peaches and nectarines too. There’s just something about standing over your kitchen sink (people don’t honestly eat these fruits anywhere else, right?) on a late summer evening. The sun is setting and it’s finally cooling down a little bit after a long, hot, obnoxious day at work. You sink your teeth into a juicy, room temperature, perfectly ripe stone fruit and the juices run all down your chin and it makes a mess everywhere. Hence the need for the kitchen sink. Easily one of the best feelings in the world. I love stone fruits that much. You know what? My own description of me eating a stone fruit made me want one again. I have some ripe peaches on the counter. I’ll be right back.

I’m back and I don’t regret my decision. My keyboard is now sticky, but I’ll deal with that later. It was worth it.

I have to be honest for a second. Seeing as I don’t have any food allergies, I just want to admit that I can get DOWN with a peach milkshake from Chick-fil-A from time to time. It’s not something I’m especially proud of, but it happens occasionally and I’ll own it. However I DO find their peach milkshake ingredients somewhat offensive, so I quickly set out to create a paleo version for myself to enjoy whenever I want. Okay fine, whenever I want and when I also happen to have some frozen peaches on hand. Some things in life are just worth planning ahead for, and this right here is one of them.

You won’t find anything sketchy or unpronounceable in here. Just whole foods that belong in a milkshake and in your belly. You can thank me later. I’ve got to run. I’ve got a keyboard to clean!
