Simple Sauteed Kale

Simple instructions for sauteed garlic and greens.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 12-16 ounces fresh kale picked over, de-stemmed, torn
  • pinch sea salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat the avocado oil over medium heat in a large cast iron skillet. When hot, add the minced garlic and saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and starting to brown.
  2. Add all of the kale to the skillet in a large pile. Season with sea salt to taste. Carefully stir to coat with the garlic and avocado oil. The pile will start to decrease in size as the kale cooks down. Saute, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes until kale has wilted, reduced, and browned to your liking. You can tent a second skillet over the cast iron skillet if you wish. This will help the kale cook a bit faster.
